ABOUT THE SHOW
Surround-sound theater assaults the senses in this story of a young girl’s escape from drug addiction. A chilling narrative, shock-poetry, projected imagery, and unnerving video illuminate her journey from being an addict’s child to becoming an addict, then mother herself. Avant-garde ballads and burlesque-influenced dance punctuate this true story by C.M. Soto. Set to a score of original music by UFO Death Cult, this multi-media abstract performance art piece echoes Pink Floyd’s, The Wall and Tom Waits’, “What’s he Building in There?” A floor-length metal bird-cage skirt, wings made of vinyl records, and a dollhouse podium were props created by C.M. (with a little help from Mike Goetz and Luke Crowther) specifically for Ice Scream Theater. (Adult themes. Mild nudity)
